MRCB shares up after RM53.5 billion GDV development deal inked

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 — Malaysian Resource Corporation Bhd shares on Bursa Malaysia rose in the early session Thursday after its wholly-owned subsidiary MRCB Land Sdn Bhd inked a development agreement with Cyberview Sdn Bhd worth RM53.5 billion in gross development value.

At 9.36 am, the counter rose seven sen to RM1.26, with 6.39 million shares changing hands.

The agreement is to jointly develop the first phase of Cyberjaya City Centre (CCC) comprising 21.59 hectares of land over a period of seven years.

MRCB Group Managing Director Tan Sri Mohamed Salim Fateh Din said on Wednesday construction of the first phase was expected to kickstart in the first half of next year.
