Melaka to review applications for 'My Beautiful New Home'

test

4 September, MELAKA – The Melaka government will review all existing applications for the ‘My Beautiful New Home’ programme to ensure they are treated and processed fairly.

Chief Minister Adly Zahari said there were many weaknesses in the procedures involved in processing the applications previously, including non-compliance with selection guidelines as stipulated by the Finance Ministry.

“We have instructed the Melaka Housing Board to re-open applications for ‘My Beautiful New Home’ to the public and existing applications will be reviewed.

The state government gives it assurance that only those who are eligible and fulfil the stipulated conditions will be given the opportunity to the houses,” he said in a statement here today.

He said the Finance Ministry had approved an allocation of RM3.3 million for the My Beautiful New home programme in melaka, involving the construction of 50 houses on a 2.3 hectare site in Mukim Lipat Kajang in the district of Jasin.
