PETALING JAYA, 2 March: Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd and Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), a medical service provider in Taiwan, have proposed to jointly establish a medical and specialist hospital in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan, to be known as Matrix Global Specialist Center (MGSC).
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Matrix Concepts said it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CCH to jointly establish a joint working group for the review, feasibility study, construction and development of the specialist hospital.
Each party will contribute its own expertise for the proposed centre. The MoU takes effect from March 1, 2017, for a period of six months and either party has the right to terminate it without assigning any reason during that time.
The group said MGSC, if established, will be the first state-of-the-art hospital to be built in Bandar Sri Sendayan, to cater for the current population of more than 30,000 with a target of more than 120,000 by 2022.
MCHB said the development of MGSC, if it materialises, is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group.
