IPOH, June 20 — The Malaysia Property Expo 2017 (MAPEX 2017) will showcase 20,000 residential and commercial units worth some RM5 billion from 47 developers.
Perak Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (REHDA) Malaysia Chairman, Tony Khoo Boon Chuan, said of that, 3,000 residential units were specially allocated for Bumiputeras.
“The prices for residential units range from RM150,000 to RM5 million each. The developers are also offering incentives, rebate and discounts especially for Bumiputera lots for up to 10 per cent,” he told a media conference on MAPEX 2017 here today.
Khoo said Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadi, will officiate the three-day event from July 28, 2017.
He said some 30,000 visitors were expected to take part in the expo which would also hold briefing and talks on real estate investment and taxes involved.
“This is a very good opportunity for everyone to evaluate and compare housing prices as developers are offering reasonable prices so those residing here can own their own property,” he said.
Khoo said REHDA also expected an encouraging economic growth in the second half of this year, subsequently contributing to the real estate development in Perak.
