Chinese New Year Video – Never Forget 《勿忘我》
In the spirit of celebrating togetherness and family bond, Mah Sing introduces a touching Chinese New Year video which tells a heartfelt and realistic story of three siblings who are tasked with caring for a younger family member. Set against the backdrop of preparations for the traditional Chinese New Year celebration, the story weaves in relatable elements of modern life. As the festivities approach, the characters confront their emotional struggles, uncover hidden tensions, and experience the true meaning of family in this moving tale.
Chinese New Year Music Video – 《幸福美满你最好》
Mah Sing wishes everyone a joyful Snake year with a Chinese New Year theme song titled《幸福美满你最好》, featuring The Star of Mah Sing – Crystal Liew Yen Yen. The song was produced by the talented Malaysian composer and lyricist Tee Kok Leong.
The video celebrates the warmth of togetherness, joy, and the simple yet precious moments shared with loved ones that make life truly fulfilling. As families reunite, laughter fills the air, and cherished traditions are passed down, it reminds us that the greatest fortune lies in the bonds we nurture and the love that surrounds us.
The video also reminds us to reflect on the year gone by, to offer gratitude for the present, and to welcome the future with hope and open hearts. As we gather, we create new memories that become the stories of tomorrow, reinforcing that the most meaningful blessings are the people we hold dearly.
This song also serves as the closing theme for the upcoming movie “Blooms of Happiness”. The music video is now available on Mah Sing’s social media (Facebook Page, Tik Tok and Youtube channel).
Chinese New Year Movie – Blooms of Happiness 《新年·奇迹号》
Mah Sing is also the main sponsor for a Chinese New Year movie titled “Blooms of Happiness”, starring popular artists Ah Niu, Hong Hui Fang, Vivienne Oon, Yuan Teng, Dennis Chew and KK Wong. Produced by LOMO Pictures, this heart-warming movie explores the fragility of family ties and the power of second chances.
As Gao Ming and Luo Si Fen face divorce and estrangement from their children, they reluctantly come together for the Lunar New Year to protect their elderly parents’ happiness. When tragedy strikes and Grandma Du falls into a coma, the family is forced to confront their fractured relationships. Guided by the mysterious Mr. Fox, they relive the fateful day, learning that love, forgiveness, and unity are key to overcoming both the past and the challenges of the present. The movie beautifully intertwines themes of family, tradition, and the resilience needed to heal and move forward. The movie will be showing in cinemas starting 28 January 2025.

Chinese New Year Angpau Packet Design

The Angpau packet is designed based on this year’s Chinese zodiac – snake. In Chinese symbolism, the snake represents intelligence, transformation, and protection. Its fluid, winding form reflects the idea of moving gracefully through challenges, embodying resilience and wisdom. The snake also signifies renewal, echoing the cyclical nature of the lunar year, shedding the past and embracing the future. This elegant design intertwines cultural symbolism with modern artistry, making the packet not just a token of money but a meaningful piece of tradition.
The packet design incorporated the Gold Flower motif, a direct nod to blooming prosperity. Flowers are essential symbols during Chinese New Year, representing growth, hope, and the blossoming of good luck. The gold detailing emphasizes richness and blessings in the year ahead. Together, the floral design and snake imagery convey a balanced message of flourishing wealth and personal growth, creating a design that is as meaningful as it is visually striking. The packet is also designed using the colour combination of gold, purple, orange and turquoise, which are the auspicious colours in Chinese culture symbolizing wealth, prosperity, tranquility and happiness.
