Mah Sing rewards 1,000 construction workers with RM50,000

5 December, SUNGAI BULOH – Mah Sing Group (Mah Sing) rewarded 1,000 constructions workers RM50,000 or RM50 each for successfully clocking over 4million safe man-hours without any Lost Time Injury during the construction process of D’sara Sentral, Sungai Buloh. Mah Sing’s Director of Group Strategy & Operations, Lionel Leong was on-site in D’sara Sentral to meet with the construction workers and present them the token of appreciation from Mah Sing.

Mah Sing’s Director of Group Strategy and Operations, Lionel Leong shared, “The RM50,000 we are rewarding to the 1,000 construction workers is a simple gesture from the company to show our appreciation for their hardwork and safety awareness. Achieving 4million safe man hours is a great feat as Mah Sing takes the safety of every person on site very seriously and we follow strict safety standards.”

He added, “Our focus on safety saw D’sara Sentral received 4 stars in the Safety and Health Assessment System in Construction which was awarded by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for our commendable safety record and effective site management. The construction team’s efficiency has also seen a number of D’sara Sentral’s components projected for early completion. We aim to achieve similar results for all of our projects as safety is one of our priorities.”

The excellent safety record as well as the efficiency of the construction team will see the completion of D’sara Sentral’s Sovo tower almost one month ahead of schedule. The residential towers SA2 and SA1 are both 15 months and 8 months ahead of schedule respectively while the retails shops will be completed on time.

In addition, D’sara Sentral’s two other residential towers SB1 and OLO Residence are almost 1 year ahead of schedule and are targeted for completion in Q1 2019.

Mah Sing’s Transit Oriented Development – D’sara Sentral
D’sara Sentral, Sungai Buloh is a transit oriented development (TOD) located directly opposite the Kg Selamat MRT station under the MRT Line 1. As part of the Group’s effort to enhance the connectivity to the Kampung Selamat MRT Station, Mah Sing constructed a covered walkway between D’sara Sentral and the Kg Selamat MRT station which is currently available for use.

D’sara Sentral’s connectivity is further enhanced as it is located right on Jalan Sungai Buloh which can be accessed via a number of major highways such as Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), North-South Highway and Selayang-Kepong Highway.

Comprising of 5 towers with both residential and commercial components, D’sara Sentral is expected to further boost the vibrancy of Sungai Buloh as a retail hub and entertainment outlet in the area.
