Kuala Lumpur, 30 May 2016- Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) was awarded the Building and Construction Authority Award (BCA) for Green Mark GoldPLUS Award. The awards’ ceremony banquet was recently held at Resort World, Singapore.
Mah Sing’s Group Managing Director Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum said, “We are pleased that Mah Sing’s Ferringhi Residence is awarded the Green Mark Award. We strive to incorporate green innovations into all of our projects and we are glad to add Ferringhi Residence to our list of developments that awarded Green Mark Award Preserving the environment has always the Group’s top priority, and many of our projects are of Green Compliance Standards recognised by the World Green Building Council, which include Malaysia’s Green Building Index (GBI), Singapore’s Green Mark, United States’ Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia’s (REHDA) Green RE.”

Mah Sing’s first phase of Ferringhi Residence located in the heart of Batu Ferringhi, Penang has been successfully completed with vacant possession delivered. Continuous to Green Projects
Further to incorporating green innovations during constructions, Mah Sing’s green efforts also take into account the concept of the development. One of the Group’s green lung projects is Southville City@KL South. Only half of the 428 acres of land will be developed, with the remaining land left in its natural green state to maintain the township’s green concept. There will be eco features like Riverside Walk, Nature’s Trail, and 30-acre Urban Park. Pedestrian footpaths cum bicycle tracks will be built for easy accessibility to link the entire community together without the need to drive which results in the reduction in carbon emissions.
Further to this, M City personifies the concept of garden city living with Malaysia’s first ever multi-level thematic hanging gardens. Thematic hanging gardens at various levels spanning over 4 acres where each of the 5 hanging gardens follows a unique theme. The Group’s Icon City is designed with architectures aiming to change KL’s skyline. The project features lush green environment with over 2 acre Central Park within Icon City itself. Both M City and Icon City received GBI Provisional Certificate and Green Mark Provisional Certificate.
