Johor, April 26 – Mah Sing Group hosted blood donation campaigns at their southern projects, Austin V Square @ Mount Austin and Meridin@Medini on the 15th and 22nd of April respectively.
Hundreds turned up during both weekend drives as generous people came to donate their blood for a worthy cause. The drive saw the Group achieve more than 100 successful donations over the two weeks. The blood supplies will be donated to KPJ Healthcare Berhad and the National Blood Bank.
“Blood donation is a noble act as a pint of blood can save up to three lives. It warms one’s heart to see the rakyat unite to lend a helping hand to those in need”, said Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum, Group Managing Director of Mah Sing Group. “Not only do activities such as these benefit the community, it also allows us to educate members of the public and encourage them to continue their honourable efforts. We look forward to arranging similar drives due to the receptive responses.”
This charitable act is in line with Mah Sing’s tagline to enhance the lives of the rakyat. The Group understands that blood supplies are unpredictable and blood banks place heavy reliance on public donations to ensure supplies stay readily stocked.
Through this CSR initiative, Mah Sing aims to assist healthcare sectors in replenishing their blood supply and educate the rakyat on the importance of blood donation.
Austin V Square @ Mount Austin
Austin V Square kicked -off the blood donation drive on the 15th of April 2017. The drive took place at Austin V Square’s Convention Hall as blood donors gathered as early as 9.00am. In addition to the blood donation drive, donors were treated to a plethora of activities such as calculating their Body Mass Index (BMI), Blast Fx Core exercise classes and free body measurement & consultation sessions.
Dubbed the Suburban Biz Hub of Austin, Austin V Square provided a good platform for volunteers to easily locate the blood donation drive as it is located in a matured township of Taman Austin Perdana.
Consisting of 5 – storey corporate suites, Austin V Square provides the perfect balance of business and tranquillity as lush landscapes in the middle of the project provides a good buffer for the working population to rest and unwind.
Meridin@Medini hosted the subsequent blood donation drive on the 22nd of April at its sales gallery in Bandar Medini, Iskandar Puteri.
As part of the blood donation drive, donors were treated to lunch and had the chance to view the Group’s integrated development that is strategically placed beside Legoland Malaysia.
A tourist hotspot, Meridin@Medini boasts state-of-the-art facilities for residents and tourists alike, as it sits strategically fronting the protocol road to Kota Iskandar. Meridin@Medini also has one of the intermediate stations in Iskandar Puteri that is scheduled for completion in 2026.
