Mah Sing Foundation Lights Up Deepavali for 11 Children
This festive period often resides in cheerful commemoration that is celebrated in the presence of family. Unfortunately, children from the Lotus Charity Centre do not share that same privilege. Aiming to brighten up their Deepavali, Mah Sing Foundation, the foundation arm of Mah Sing Group, hosted a special Deepavali celebration for (is that the total children? If yes just say all the children from the orphanage home)11 children from the orphanage home.
Giving an extra personalised touch to further enhance the celebration, the children and 2 caregivers were chaperoned by the Foundation from the Lotus Charity Centre located in Semenyih to Star Avenue Lifestyle Mall. Upon arrival, the children were greeted with an array of fun and exciting activities as the celebration kicked off with an ice-breaking Zumba session – with a Bollywood twist!
As the hour clocked down, the children were then treated to lunch, in which Mah Sing Foundation’s Chairman Dato’ Indera Syed Norulzaman bin Syed Kamarulzaman joined in and shared words of encouragement. Dato’ Indera Syed Norulzaman bin Kamarulzaman even led the tour of Star Avenue before handing out goodie bags to the children.
“It is truly a humbling experience being able to spend time with the children this festive season”, said Dato’ Indera Syed Norulzaman bin Syed Kamarulzaman. “Seeing the smiles, laughs and happiness is an important reminder why we do what we do. Mah Sing Foundation is delighted to welcome these children as part of the family”, he continued.
The activities did not stop there. The children were given the chance to sculpt their own candle holders from scratch and were also given the opportunity to play to their hearts’ content in the mall’s jungle gym before departing back exhausted from the day’s activities.
