Mah Sing celebrates the launch of Hazel with a carnival celebration featuring Songkrun

24 November, MERIDIN EAST, JOHOR – Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) officially launched the latest development in its freehold Meridin East township, the Hazel, with a carnival celebration featuring Asia’s Biggest 5km Water Run and Music Festival, SongkRun, and a series of fun activities.

Meridin East is taking shape into a self-sustaining integrated township as Mah Sing aims to ensure residents enjoy enhanced quality living experience. 40% of Meridin East will encompass lush green spaces and the Group plans to plant several thousand native trees around the 9-acre Mulberry Lake to preserve and enhance the natural flora and fauna. The township has also allocated 110 acres to develop various activities benefitting the residents. This includes the 16.6km cycling and jogging path to encourage exercise and adopt a healthy living.

SongkRun – Extraordinary Run with Water & Music

Inspired by the renowned Songkran annual water festival in Thailand, the highlight activity of the launching carnival, SongkRun presents five thematic zones along the route with different effects, namely “Storm”, “Lightning”, Heat”, “Fog”, and “Rain”. The run was flagged off by Mah Sing’s Chief Operating Officer, Benjamin Ong, Velocity Event Management’s Director, Ivan Looi, and management team of Mah Sing.

The uniquely designed activity wrapped up in high spirits with all the participants having an unforgettable running journey featuring entertaining water activities and sensational music. In addition to the extraordinary running experience, partipants also get to enjoy the peformances from famous DJ duo, the Leng Sisters, as well as a memorable classical and pop violin show by talented violin artiste, Jessica Loo. Visitors and participants were also treated to a series of interactive activities and variety of delicacies provided by the food trucks. The launching carnival successfully attracted over 3,000 crowd to celebrate together along the spectacular scenery of Meridin East township.

Strategic location in Iskandar Malaysia and road infrastructure to further enhance lives of home buyers

Situated in Pasir Gudang, Iskandar Malaysia, Johor, homes in Meridin East are continuing to receive strong interest due to its strategic location close to the booming Pasir Gudang Industrial Hub and Tanjung Langsat Industrial Park. It is also within driving distance to the Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex.

Residents of Meridin East and the surrounding communities are set to benefit from Mah Sing’s initiative to enhance road infrastructure around the township. The Group is building a connecting road into the Tanjung Langsat – Cahaya Baru Toll Connecting Highway, which forms part of the Senai Desaru Expressway (SDE). In addition, work has already begun to widen Jalan Kong Kong into a 40 meter, four-lane thoroughfare. Both road infrastructure improvements are targeted to be completed by 2020.

Meridin East is also close to medical facilities such as KPJ Specialist Hospital Pasir Gudang (12km) and Regency Specialist Hospital (15km), shopping conveniences such as Econsave (8km), Tesco Seri Alam (15km), AEON Permas Jaya (23km), IKEA Tebrau (30km) and Johor Premium Outlets (53km) as well as 51km to the Senai Airport.

Last year, Mah Sing launched the Fern in Meridin East, comprising 2-storey link homes with built ups starting from 1,622 sq ft (4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms) as part of the Group’s ‘Reinvent Affordability’ Campaign. The project which priced from RM RM430,950 received an impressive take-up rate of over 90% as of today. The Dandelion in Meridin East comprising 2-storey link homes with built ups from 2,333 sq ft (4+1 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms)and priced from RM549,100 also recorded a strong take-up rate of over 80% after its initial launching early last year.
