2018, SELANGOR – Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) released its jovial Hari Raya video that focuses on the unity of the first family to move in to Southville City’s Avens Residence. Aptly titled ‘4 Generations, 1 Roof’, the short video shows the Mah Sing team celebrating the festivities with 76-year old Puan Rahmah binti Mat, or ‘Tok Mah’, and her children, grandchildren as well as her 5-month old great-grandchild.
‘Tok Mah’ and her family have spent the last 20 years staying apart from each other as the lack of liveable space in their previous home the factor keeping them apart. “We did not come a wealthy family as we used to live in a small squatter home prior to moving here. Even so, mom (Tok Mah) would be ever so generous in inviting family over to stay with us. We needed to look for a new home that could accommodate mom’s wish of reuniting the family. We looked and looked and were thankful to find the perfect place in Southville City’s Avens Residence”, said ‘Kak Nida’, daughter ‘Tok Mah’.
Going the extra mile
As soon as the Mah Sing team heard the touching story, the team went the extra mile in making this festive period a special one as ‘Tok Mah’s family were given a pleasant surprise when Mah Sing team came to celebrate iftar together with the family on 25 May 2018.
The celebrations continued, as Mah Sing came with a truck full of goodies. The Group gifted a reframed vintage photo ‘Tok Mah’s favourite picture of her younger days and even granted her grandchildren’s wishes by turning a room on the third floor into a media room equipped with a new LED TV, sound system and gaming console as the family enjoys watching movies together.
The Group also presented each member of the family new clothing courtesy of Timberland to welcome Hari Raya in style. Lastly, Mah Sing gifted the entire family a travel voucher worth RM8,000, so that the family can fulfil ‘Tok Mah’s dream of travelling on holiday together.
Mah Sing’s Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum shared, “In all that we do, we want to first enhance life. This Hari Raya, we wanted to do something different. By celebrating Hari Raya with the first family of Avens Residence, we got the opportunity to show our gratitude to our customers first hand. We will not be where we are today if not for them. We hope the video will create a lasting impact as they celebrate this Aidilfitri with their loved ones.
