SUNGAI BULOH, 16 December – Mah Sing Group Berhad’s Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum with his key management team and some 200 staff were one of the first few riders of the MRT service which started operations today.
The company outing celebrates the commencement of phase one of Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) MRT Line. Mah Sing also organised #161216 D’sara MRT Hunt because the Group’s D’sara Sentral project has direct access to MRT Line 1, Kg Selamat station.
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong said, “We have been looking forward to the completion of MRT project since the first launch of our D’sara Sentral project in 2014. We laud the government’s initiative and effort in improving the convenience of public transportation and we hope the improved infrastructure will further enhance the quality of life and economy of the country. The successful delivery of the MRT project marks another milestone in the country’s grand plan to move towards being a developed nation.”

Celebrating commencement of MRT service, 1612 TnG cards up for grabs
Starting from today, the MRT service and feeder buses will be complimentary until 16 January 2017. In conjunction with the commencement of MRT service, Mah Sing organised the #161216 MRT D’sara Hunt which will be giving away 1612 RM20 Touch ‘n’ Go (TnG) cards from today until 18 December 2016 (8 am – 9 pm) at Mah Sing’s booth in Kg Selamat MRT station.
Members of the public (21 years old and above) can participate in the #161216 D’sara MRT Hunt by collecting two stamps, one from Kg Selamat MRT station (the only station to redeem TnG card) and another from any of five other designated checkpoints which are Semantan MRT station, Phileo Damansara MRT station, Bandar Utama MRT station and Mutiara Damansara MRT station as well as a D’sara Sentral roadshow booth located on the Ground Floor of Ikano Power Centre (IPC).
D’sara Sentral enjoys direct access to Kg Selamat station, only 35 minutes away from City Centre
With the completion of the entire SBK MRT Line (slated to be completed in July 2017), D’sara Sentral is about only 35 minutes away from the city centre (Bukit Bintang station). To further enhance the connectivity, a covered walkway will be built (scheduled to be completed by 2017) to provide a direct access to the Kg Selamat station from D’sara Sentral.
The first vacant possessions (VP) of the project are the Retail Shops and SoVo tower which are scheduled in March 2018. The VP of the project is timely as the entire SBK MRT Line will be operational by then.
D’sara Sentral project is a transit-oriented development and it is one of the first few projects to be launched with a direct access to a MRT station. The commencement of the MRT Line 1 service will not only add on to the convenience of the project but also contributes to the appreciation of the value of the development.
According to Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (Rehda) past president Datuk Ng Seing Liong, positive response was received when Phase 1 of the SBK MRT Line was announced. With the MRT Line 1 in operation, it is expected that the value of properties near to an MRT station will increase from 5% to 10%.
National House Buyers Association secretary-general Chang Kim Loong further added that properties located nearer to the MRT may fetch higher rentals and have a better capital appreciation.
D’sara Sentral – First Integrated Development in Sungai Buloh with dual-key concept
D’sara Sentral is an integrated development that has both residential and commercial components with a gross development value (GDV) of RM937million on 6.55 acres of land. Comprising Retail Shops, one tower of SoVo and four towers of Serviced Residences, the project is set to be a key location due to its direct access to the MRT station.
It is the first project in Sungai Buloh area to feature a dual-key concept for its residential units. There is a total of 25 dual key units in tower SB1 with built-ups of 1,186sq ft with 1+2 rooms.

With the commencement of MRT service, residents at D’sara Sentral now have an added means of travel to commute to work or other places. This convenience also puts the retail component of the development at a high visibility with a ready catchment of approximately 4,300 residents within the development as well as the nearby community.
There will be a further boost to population growth in the area as it is located near to 2,330 acres of Kwasa Damansara project which is currently under development. Upon the completion of the project, it is estimated to have about 150,000 people residing in that area.
D’sara Sentral can be easily accessed from all parts of the Klang Valley via Jalan Sungai Buloh, Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), North-South Highway and Selayang-Kepong Highway.
There are also various public amenities nearby the development such as Sungai Buloh KTM, Sungai Buloh Hospital, Tropicana Medical Centre, Sime Darby Medical Centre, ELC International School, HELP International School, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), SEGi University College, KBU international College, Sunway Giza, One Utama, The Curve, Ikea, Ikano Power Center, Subang Airport Terminal 2 and more.
