Kuala Lumpur, 26 April 2017 – TAHPS Group Berhad on Saturday, 22 April, officially launched its very own Bukit Puchong Community App. The launch event was officiated by Eugene Khoo, TAHPS Group CEO, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Member of Parliament for Puchong, Selangor, Mr. Ong Chun Wai, Council Member of Sepang Municipal Council for Bukit Puchong and DSP Tan Nam Seng, Head, Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department from Subang Jaya Police Headquarter.
Developed with the community’s safety and well-being in mind, the Bukit Puchong Community App is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of TAHPS Group to ensure the continued safety and security of residents living within Bandar Bukit Puchong.
It will also ensure a more efficient and quicker way for TAHPS to communicate with residents and the public.
“This is the first time I am seeing such an app being launched. I find this not only extraordinary but also befitting of the event because in today’s technology, instant communication is very important,” said Deo. “The best way to do so, especially for residents of Bukit Puchong and the public, is one such project. As a government official representing the state of Selangor and a Member of Parliament, this project has my full support.”
During the launch event, residents of Bukit Puchong and non-residents were able to download the application and access a range of features at the touch of a button on their smart phones.
“While Bukit Puchong is a relatively safe neighbourhood, we cannot rest on our laurels. As the main developer of this township, it is our corporate social responsibility to ensure that residents in this township can raise their families in a safe and secure environment,” said Khoo.
According to the Royal Malaysia Police (“PDRM”), crime in Bukit Puchong is under control. PDRM via the IPD Subang Jaya and Bukit Puchong Police Station also conducted talks on crime prevention with an interactive dialogue session with the public. PDRM also shared the latest crime statistics with the public and members of the press during the event.
Acknowledging their efforts, Deo also took the opportunity to thank police officers for their continued effort in keeping Bukit Puchong safe.
He also thanked TAHPS for always rendering assistance to the community.
“This is something I will always remember. This is what we want. We want a developer to look into its community and tries to find ways to help everybody, who forms part of the community,” he said.
