Junior Chamber International (JCI) PJ calls for nomination of Malaysian young entrepreneurs for 10th JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award

KUALA LUMPUR, 22 February 2016 – Creativity is the key element that will be honoured in this prestigious annual award by JCI Malaysia for its 10th Creative Young Entrepreneur Award. Dato’ Sri Vincent Tiew, who is the Managing Director of Andaman Property Management Sdn Bhd was appointed as the Ambassador of JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award 2016, urged Malaysian businesses to be more creative in managing their business operations in the current economic situation.

He encouraged more young entrepreneurs to take part in JCI CYEA to benefit from the network and international exposure it provides. Organizing Chairman of JCI CYEA 2016, Edmund Kong, informed that this award is designed to reward, honour and recognize outstanding young entrepreneurs.

JCI CYEA is a platform for any entrepreneur between ages 18 to 40 years old, as long as they are business owners / managers who are primarily responsible for the start-up of a new business and/ or implemented creative measures or method that result in positive outcomes in their business operation. The nomination has been opened on 1st February and will end on 31st May 2016.

The nominations must be submitted using the online nomination form via www.jcicyea.com.my. The Top 3 winners will be announced in September at the 2016 JCI CYEA Grand Award Ceremony. One lucky winner will then be selected to represent Malaysia as Panel Speaker at the Commonwealth Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAAYE) summit.

The 3 winners of JCI CYEA 2015 were Dato’ Sri Dr Vincent Tiew- Managing Director of Andaman Property Management Sdn Bhd, Mr Mahair Goh–Founder & CEO of Global Art & Creative Sdn Bhd and Mr Steve Low–CEO of Tandop Hotel Sdn Bhd. Dato’ Sri Dr Vincent Tiew was selected by the CAAYE Board of Directors to be a speaker at the 2015 CAAYE Summit in Putrajaya,Malaysia.

This year, JCI CYEA 2016 team has also engaged the other 2 NGOs in Malaysia, PUMM(Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia or Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association) and YMM (Young Malaysians Movement) as their Supporting Partners.

JCI CYEA offers young entrepreneurs the gateway to international markets. Winners have the chance to mingle and exchange ideas with entrepreneurs from overseas, international companies and governments to further explore business opportunities across industries and countries. This award is not only a platform for a young entrepreneur to grow and elevate their career but will also benefit the organization as well as upgrade the reputation of industry and country as whole in creativity.

The nomination deadline for submission is on 31st May 2016. Registration is FREE, nominees will only have to pay RM500 for the processing fee.
