The crème de la crème of the property industry in Malaysia received the highest recognition at the iProperty Development Excellence Awards (iDEA) 2017, held on 16 November at Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

Just like Hollywood

Arriving guests got to stroll down a red carpet, allowing them to experience their very own Hollywood glamour moment.

Meet, mingle & make merry!

Guests were more than happy to hobnob with one another before the official event – More than 500 people, including the country’s top developers, industry experts and event sponsors showed up for the award night.

Looking sharp, gentlemen!

Representatives from Knight Frank, a leading independent real estate consultancy in Malaysia graced us with their presence too.

The dashing Joey G played host for the night – you’re welcome ladies.

Electrifying opening performance

iDEA 2017 opened with a bang, literally – as LED dancers took to the stage to perform a captivating dance routine, marking the beginning of the award night.

Triple win for Tropicana

Tropicana Corporation Berhad walked home with not one but three awards that night; for the Best Residential Landed, Best Township and Best Mixed Development categories – Well done, Tropicana!

Music to the ears

Local songstress, Vanessa Tan serenaded the crowd with lovely jazz renditions throughout the night – not once did her dynamic, rich voice waver even when jumping to the beat in her four-inch heels!

Rah, rah – Go team Gamuda!

Spirits were high for the Gamuda Land team as the developer bagged three awards, Best Southern Development for Horizon Hills, Best Waterfront Development for TwentyFive.7. and the People’s Choice Award.

Three cheers for UMLand

UMLand’s Albury 2 development bagged the Best Affordable Housing Project Award. 

Luckiest man of the night

Lady luck was shining on this guy as he nabbed the main lucky draw prize – a Gintell massage chair worth RM16,988. #Jealousmuch

Dr Daniele Gambero, Director of REI Group of Companies put all the millennials present to shame that night – his numerous catchy FB posts won him the Best FB picture award.

Innovative Leader of the Year

Meanwhile, KK Wong, CEO of UMLand Seri Austin cum Acting Group Director of Townships garnered a special award – he was named Innovative Leader of the Year; a testament to his ongoing commitment towards making Seri Austin one of the most livable townships in Malaysia.

Crowd favourites

The highlight of the night was the crowning of the People’s Choice Award – for this category, consumers throughout the country voted for their top 5 favourite developers. Congratulations to Gamuda Land, Mah Sing Group, Tropicana Corporation Berhad, Sime Darby Brunsfield and UEM Sunrise Berhad!

Haresh reminds the crowd why iProperty.com is the country’s No.1 property website, as he and a few of the winners have a light moment on stage.
