Groove into the Raya season with Mah Sing’s latest Accapella music video

Kuala Lumpur, 2016 – In conjunction with the upcoming Raya celebration, Mah Sing Group (Mah Sing) released a short Raya music video produced by the Group’s in-house talents.

The music video is an acapella song with strong vocals and beat box inspired by the rendition of Balik Kampung by Sudirman, Suasana di Hari Raya by Anuar Zain and Elina and Selamat Hari Raya by Saloma. The video was released on both Mah Sing’s official Facebook and Youtube channel on 1 July 2016.

A total of 12 Mah Sing’s in-house talented employees volunteered to participate in this project as they are passionate in expressing their version of Raya celebration in Malaysia. The Group is proud of this internal initiative and agreed to the in-house video which is the voice (literally) of Mah Sing.

Even though all team members have very limited music knowledge, they passionately researched and practiced multiple musical techniques. After numerous brainstorming sessions and discussions, the team completed their creative music composition for the one-minute video.

The video featured light humour and a hint of wittiness depicting how people of different backgrounds harmoniously come together by putting in efforts to learn and also teach about each other’s culture.

Comments received on Facebook and Youtube included: “Really nice and great effort, Selamat Hari Raya everybody!”; “Wow. They are like professional singers” and “Best nier ini”; – which translates to “This is the best”.

Mah Sing’s Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum said, “As Malaysians we are very lucky as we get to experience various cultures and celebrations together. During this festive season, Mah Sing invites you and your families to our Raya celebrations at M Residence (17 and 24 July) and Lakeville Residence (16 and 17 July) – which is also the launch of Lakeville’s final tower. On behalf of the Group, we wish you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!”
