IPOH, May 28— Gopeng Bhd is planning to build affordable homes costing less than RM200,000 in Simpang Pulai to help the low-income own their own house, says Executive Chairman Datuk Mohd Salleh Hashim.
“We have developed housing projects in the area for the past 10 years and if there is an opportunity, we will develop new projects,” he told Bernama after the company’s annual general meeting here Saturday.
Mohd Salleh said the oil-palm plantation and investment holding company was also exploring other options to raise revenue.
He said the company was ready to embark on new projects next year, if there were any, owing to its good financial management and zero debts.
“We can look at project options as our gearing is very low and have a cash flow of about RM110 million,” he added.
