JOHOR, 7 September 2017 – EXHALE Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“EXHALE”) and Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“MIM”) are pleased to announce that they have received not one, but two International Property Awards for their projects this year! The awards were given for the recently renovated iconic ‘Orange’ Seri Medini Office Complex and the new Medini Investor Centre at Medini 6, located in Medini City, Iskandar Puteri.
Carol Bochsler and Stephanie Burton of EXHALE, an award winning international architecture, interior design, master planning and landscape design firm (www.exhalegroup.com), spearheaded the projects. EXHALE was thrilled to have worked with MIM, a forward-thinking company committed to developing Medini, a 2,230-acre integrated urban development township located in the heart of Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
“We are honoured that they entrusted us with the design of these two projects and believed in our vision to do something different allowing the projects to reflect Medini’s vision of becoming an icon of future city living. Winning awards for both projects, solidifies for us that we must be doing something right! Pushing boundaries is what it takes to be at the forefront of design,” says Carol.
The sculptural Medini Investor Centre, becomes the launching pad for MIM to realise their vision. The Investor Centre provides an impactful space where MIM can showcase their latest projects as well as attend to their customer’s needs. EXHALE’s creative use of plywood and the Medini blue accents serve to increase visibility of its brand identity. In addition to the main display space, MIM now has premium facilities for hosting launches, media, networking events, executive board meetings and VIP dignitaries.
The Seri Medini Office Complex renovation, now known fondly as the ‘orange building’, transformed the previously plain-looking building into a vibrant corporate space providing much needed office and meeting facilities to the community. Its new bold orange exterior has placed it on the map as a landmark building in Iskandar Puteri. Spanning over two floors, the interior now features a monolithic reception lobby with café, new meeting room, and a range of office spaces suitable for long term tenants or co-working type facilities. The orange from the building exterior was brought into the interior design as accents offsetting the Scandinavian industrial vibe within.
Dr James Tee, Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of MIM said, “We congratulate EXHALE on their excellent achievement! The awards won are a testament to the fact that the designers we work with create spaces that are not only sophisticated but also functional for various purposes. It is critical to understand the needs of companies and to create internal spaces that meet the demands of end-users. MIM’s upcoming office buildings Medini 9 and Medini 10, which will be completed in early 2018 and 2019 respectively, will infuse the elements of functionality weaved into modern and smart designs.”
