Singapore: S P Setia is proud to have won the prestigious Singapore Property Award 2017 under the category of Sustainable Development for its second development in Singapore, Eco Sanctuary from FIABCI Singapore.
Eco Sanctuary is a 24-storey condominium located along Chestnut Avenue and offers its residents the much sought-after panoramic view of Singapore’s largest nature reserve. The development was inspired by nature and its designs emulate the ecology of its lush surroundings. The biomimicry architecture has led to the striking design of the building’s facade that is not only outstanding in appearance, but creates a solar passive home for all to enjoy.
A sustainable design philosophy was instrumental in Eco Sanctuary’s architectural design, building orientation as well as the construction materials used. Hence, all apartments enjoy minimum heat gain with maximum day-lighting and wind circulation. Extensive water features such as swimming pools and bio-ponds help to keep the development cool in the day while individual apartments are fitted with energy and water efficient appliances and fittings.
Other green features in Eco Sanctuary include rainwater harvesting, drip irrigation and wide range motion sensors. All these eco-influenced features have met with the stringent requirements of sustainability construction which paved the way for Eco Sanctuary to be awarded with the Green Mark Platinum by BCA, the highest accolade for sustainable developments.
Resort-style facilities are a prominent part of Eco Sanctuary comprising of sky terraces, a sky bridge offering panoramic view, gymnasium, tennis court, swimming pools, clubhouse and alfresco decks. The sky terraces of each tower offer the residents gourmet dining rooms, cocktail bars, and massage spas for private parties.
Datuk Wong Tuck Wai, Chief Operating Officer of S P Setia who received the Award from Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mayor of North West District, during the ceremony said, “Setia is certainly not a stranger to winning awards as we have already won nine FIABCI awards in Malaysia as well as seven awards in FIABCI Prix d’Excellence. The Singapore Property Awards were first introduced by FIABCI Singapore in July 2011 to recognise achievements of Singapore’s real estate projects and developments in terms of design, aesthetics, functionality, contribution to the built environment and community at large. All Singapore Property Award winners also qualify for the prestigious FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards, ensuring that only top quality projects promoting Singapore’s excellence in design and architecture are submitted for the world-class competition.
