15 October 2017, Kuala Lumpur – While we indulge on simple luxuries, some families can barely put food on the table let alone have a place to call home. For many years these destitute families have been enduring harsh living conditions as they fall under the low income category mired in poverty. Deepavali came early for 10 families as they were handed the mock keys to their new home through Baiti Jannati @ Wilayah Persekutuan Programme.
10 families received the keys to their new home in a ceremony that took place at the Perumahan Awam Desa Rejang and Projek Perumahan Rakyat Seri Pantai yesterday. Minister of Federal Territories YB Datuk Seri Utama Tengku Adnan bin Tengku Mansor, Deputy Minister of Federal Territories, YB Dato’ Dr. Loga Bala Mohan, and Badan Amal Kasih Ibu Wilayah Persekutuan’s President Datin Seri Utama Datuk Anggraini Sentiyaki together with Mah Sing Group Berhad’s Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ho Hon Sang handed over the mock keys to the recipients.

The mock key handover was kept as a special secret as none of them were informed that each family will be receiving a new and fully furnished home. The joy giving continued with money packets and hampers distributed by the Ministry of Federal Territories while MSF handed over goodie bags filled with basic necessities for the upcoming festival.
