3 October 2017, Kuala Lumpur – It was a night of glitz and glamor as LBS Bina Group Berhad (LBS) recently celebrated with employees, business partners and special guests, marking the 25th anniversary of LBS as a key player in the Malaysian property development industry and the Group’s 15th anniversary of listing on Bursa Malaysia’s main board.
Themed ‘Let’s Sail In Style on board the LBS Royal Cruise’, the celebration was inspired by the Group’s journey, akin to the calm and occasionally bumpy condition of the seas, while building partnerships and achieved numerous milestones. The event was graced by guests of honour, The Regent of Pahang, Duli Yang Maha Mulia, Pemangku Raja Pahang, Tengku Mahkota Abdullah Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, and China’s Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Dr Huang Huikang. LBS recorded its highest appreciation for their constant support through the years especially, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah’s supportive role during the launch of LBS’ Cameron Golden Hills development in Cameron Highlands, and Dr Huang’s recommendation for Tan Sri Lim to be the sole Malaysian representative to attend China’s 2017 annual parliamentary and consultative sessions, popularly known as Lianghui.
“Our journey in the property development industry over the past 25 years has been full of adventures. I believe the success and growth we enjoy today is made possible by the firm foundation set by our Chairman, Dato’ Seri Lim Bock Seng, coupled with the steady support of our partners, employees, media friends and customers. Moving forward, I am confident of achieving our targets, especially our RM1.5 billion sales target for 2017, and excited about our continuous expansion plans as we welcomed ML Global Berhad into Group as our subsidiary. We have very exciting times ahead,” said LBS Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Lim Hock San.
Guests were treated to traditional Chinese cuisine while being entertained throughout the night by a live band and a special performance by local songstress, Syafinaz Selamat. The highly anticipated lucky draws were a crowd pleaser as guests awaited with bated breath for the chance to take home Apple, Samsung, Huawei and Fitbit gadgets valued at approximately RM250,000.
Tan Sri Lim Hock San also expressed his excitement for the future saying, “Moving forward, I would like to set our new target – the Four “2’s”. In the future, I am confident of achieving our new target of RM2 billion in total sales, RM2 billion in market capital, RM2 billion in revenue, and RM200 million in profit after tax.”
More than 1,300 guests attended the gala dinner which was held at the Grand Lagoon Ballroom at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa.
