KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) has received a Letter of Award from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) to carry out Sungai Pahang restoration project for RM188.68 million.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, MRCB said, the construction period for the “Projek Pemuliharaan Muara Sungai Pahang (Fasa 3) Pakej 2, Daerah Pekan, Pahang” will be 24 months and will be completed by July 2018.
“The main component of the project is to extend an additional 345m in length to the breakwater constructed earlier and river protection works,” it said.
MRCB said the project was expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of the group.
