BPN 2.0: IRB encourages applications done online

13 October, CYBERJAYA – New applicants of Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) 2.0, especially those in the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and Enhanced MCO areas, are encouraged to submit their applications via online.

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB), in a statement today, said online applications were encouraged at the moment to break the chain of COVID-19 infection.

“New applications can be done beginning Oct 15 to Nov 15, and existing BPN recipients do not need to present a new application if they had previously received payment,” according to the statement.

BPN 2.0 new applicants can refer to the Frequent Asked Questions (FAQ) on the BPN official portal https://bpn.hasil.gov.my/ for further information and any related queries or feedback can be forwarded through Hasil Care Line at 03-8911 1000 or 603-8911 1100 (Abroad), HASiL Live Chat and Feedback Form at IRB official portal at the link maklumbalaspelanggan.hasil.gov.my/.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Sept 23 announced BPN 2.0 with the distribution of RM1,000 to 3.7 million B40 households, RM500 to 3.8 million B40 singles, RM600 to almost 1.4 million of M40 households and RM300 to 1.7 million M40 singles.

BPN 2.0 payments would be done in two instalments namely at the end of this month and next January.
