KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 (Bernama) — Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB)’s wholly-owned unit, BDB Synergy Sdn Bhd, has secured a water treatment plant project worth RM51.7 million from Kedah state government.
In a statement today, BDB said, the unit was given a two-year contract to complete the project in Sungai Santap, Pokok Sena, by November 2017.
“We hoped that with the completion of this project, the residences will be able to have cleaner water for their daily consumption and at the same time, it will help minimise the water shortages,” said BDB Group Managing Director, Datuk Izham Yusoff.
BDB said its unit would work closely with Syarikat Air Darul Aman Sdn Bhd to ensure all specifications in developing the treatment plant was in compliance with the Industrial Water Services Act 2006.
“The project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial years ending 2016 and 2017,” it said.
