17 January, KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) today launched a new talk show programm,  ‘Bernama Property Hot Seat Presented By Sunsuria’ that will provide comprehensive information to the public on property industry.

Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin said the talk show programme was in tandem with the new government’s objective to help those in the B40 group to own property.

“Through ‘Property Hot Seat’ programme , I want to see the public to be very well-informed (regarding property industry), especially from the buyers perspective, they (buyers) must make sure they know what are they buying and their terms.

“Stakeholders or industry players also must be honest, tell what they are giving to the buyers and what are the terms,” she said when launching the programme at Wisma Bernama here today.

Zuraida said the programme, which is produced by Bernama News Channel (BNC), would provide an access for property buyers, sellers and developers, to obtain accurate information on the industry.

Also present were Bernama chairman Datuk Seri Azman Ujang and Bernama Editor-in-Chief Datuk Zakaria Abdul Wahab.

Meanwhile, Zakaria said the 13-episode programme would have policy makers, industry players and stakeholders invited to give and share their views on current property issues.

“I believe this programme will get great response and we (Bernama) hope the response will not only come from the audience, but also those involved in the (property) industry, and we hope a programme like this will be a niche programme for NBC, he added.

‘Bernama Property Hot Seat Presented By Sunsuria’ is an English programme that will be aired at 8.30 pm every Thursday beginning 21st February through the channel 502 (Astro), 631 (Unifi TV) and 121 (MYTV).
