Austin Heights Group donates RM300,000 to help the needy during COVID-19

Witnessed by HH The Tunku Temenggong of JOHOR , Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, who is also Chairman of the MRCS National Committee for Community Services and Health, Founder and Chairman of Austin Heights Group Dato Steve Chong handed over One Hundred Thousands Ringgit (RM100,000) donation to Malaysia Red Crescent Society #responsMALAYSIA initiative this morning on 20/4/2020 at His Highness’s Residency.

The donation is for the preparation of food and provisions of facemasks, sanitizers to the hardcore poor families, single parent families, needy residents at the old folk homes as well as the children welfare homes. The Management Board of Austin Heights Group sincerely hope that this small gesture will be of help to the needy at the very difficult moment.

During the handing over ceremony, HH The Tunku Temenggong of JOHOR, Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, also witness the donation of ventilator, N95 masks, protective gowns, gloves, protective masks, face shield to Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Kluang by MRCS where the item is received by the hospital director, Dr Hjh Azura Abu Bakar.

Apart from that, Austin Heights Group during the MCO period had also donate more than 500 box of masks to our frontline helping securing the public safety, they had put their life at risks for the health of fellow Malaysian. In addition, due to the shortage of masks and high price of masks many Food Delivery Rider are not wearing any masks during delivery of food. To assist in the situation, Austin Heights Group also provide free masks and hand sanitizer to the delivery hero. Each of them can get free masks and hand sanitizer daily at Austin International Convention Centre.

For single parents with children who are in financial difficulty due to not working during MCO period, Austin Heights Group had also donate 1000 bag of milk powder for them. At Austin Heights we believe that helping the society is a very noble cause and we should help the under privilege group especially during this difficult period.
