Affordable Housing Project Ramah Pavilion Sold Over 86%

Jan 30, 2017 – GEORGE TOWN, — A total of 650 units, or 86.7 per cent, of affordable housing units at Ramah Pavilion, Teluk Kumbar here have been sold, with only 100 units of Type B and Type C left to be taken up, said Penang-based property developer M Summit Group.

Its Managing Director Datuk Albert Moh said the project would also be ready ahead of its expected full completion date in May 2018.

“The Ramah Pavilion project is set to be fully completed in February 2018, three months ahead of schedule, and we are targeting to host another grand celebration for the houseowners then,” he said in his speech at the Topping-Off Ceremony of Ramah Pavilion officiated by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng here, today.

Moh said the Group was constantly challenging itself to be creative and innovative in developing residential or commercial projects for discerning customers to meet the needs of their modern lifestyle at reasonable prices.

“Also in line with our commitment to remain efficient, we are targeting to complete Ramah Pavilion in time for the Chinese New Year next year,” he said.

He said Ramah Pavilion was set to be the first residential project in Teluk Kumbar that is purpose-built within the virgin forests, encouraging fresh air and natural breeze circulating within the property vicinity.

“On top of that, it also features impressive facilities similar to those of mid- to high-end residential projects, to promote healthy living,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lim said M Summit Group is among the first private developers to build affordable housing with its impressive Ramah Pavilion project at a total development cost of RM185 million.

“The units are affordably priced at RM247 to RM295 per sq ft, with built-ups ranging from 800 sq ft to 1,350 sq ft and cost from RM198,000 to RM398,000 each,” he said.

Lim said the Penang State Government had also made the provision of affordable housing to Penangites its top priority.

“In this regard, the State Government together with Penang Development Corporation will have 14 affordable housing projects in the pipeline.

“These will offer a total of 26,255 units of affordable housing Type A (formerly known as low-cost), Type B (previously low-medium cost) and Type C (affordable housing in the price range of RM150,000 to RM300,000) will be built for Penangites,” he said.

Ramah Pavilion offers a total of 759 units. Each unit comes with a complimentary car park and house owners are entitled to buy an additional car park at RM30,000, the lowest rate offered by private developers.

The project also features condominium facilities — swimming pools for adults and kids, jacuzzi pool and kids’ splash pool and water slides.
