26 November, JOHOR – A total of 360 second generation Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) settlers in Felda Sungai Sibol and Felda Penggeli Timur received their housing offer letters today.
The letters were presented by Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government deputy minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique, who is Tenggara Member of Parliament at Dewan Semai Bakti Felda Sungai Sibol.
Felda Sdn Bhd Housing Planning Department head Mohd Izazulhisam Mat Hussin said the offer letters were for the 20,000 housing units announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak before.
He said the first phase, involving 8,454 houses had been built at Felda land schemes nationwide, out of which 2,574 units in 11 Felda areas were handed over in 2017.
“In Johor, it involved 200 units in Felda Inas, Kulai; Felda Sungai Sibol (180 units) and Felda Penggeli Timur (180 units), in Kota Tinggi. Priority is given to youths staying on Felda land schemes and those renting in the area,” said Mohd Izazulhisam.
