3-month public inspection on KL-SG HSR project

30 October, Kuala Lumpur –  A public inspection process for the Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High Speed Rail (KL-SG HSR) project will take place for three months, between Nov 1 this year to Jan 31 next year.

MyHSR Corporation (MyHSR Corp) project delivery director Mark Loader said for this purpose, members of the public, especially the affected communities, would be able to do so at 43 venues along the proposed HSR alignment covering Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

“Views and feedback from the public will be used by MyHSR for further evaluation and improvement of the project,” he briefed reporters here today.

The public inspection exercise is required under Section 84 of the Land Public Transport Act 2010.

Further details and the list of designated locations for the exercise can be found on the website of MyHSR Corporation which is spearheading the project initiated under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s administration.

Slated to start operations by end-2026, the iconic HSR service will have seven stations in Malaysia, namely Bandar Malaysia, Bangi-Putrajaya, Seremban, Melaka, Muar, Batu Pahat and Iskandar Puteri before ending in Jurong East, Singapore.

The proposed 350km-long HSR will cut travel time between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to just 90 minutes.
