KL Eco City
Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
KL Eco City, a 25-acre integrated mixed-use development along Jalan Bangsar is built on a master plan that presents many industry-first features. It is setting new standards and incorporating innovations that cater to future needs. In developing a vision for “The City of Tomorrow”, it is designed to fulfil three key requirements – Connectivity, Integration and Sustainability.
The construction of 6 new dedicated bridges and ramps are already in advance stages to provide world-class connectivity serving 7 mil sq. ft. built-up area comprising offices, residences and retail space. Three flyovers are already constructed across the main highways while the rest are fast taking shape around the project site. When completed by 2016, these multiple entry and exit points will provide superb accessibility to and from Federal Highway, New Pantai Expressway and Jalan Bangsar.
Two-Tier Road System
To make it even better, KL Eco City comes with a unique internal 2-tier road system. It comprises a comprehensive network of lower and upper roads that separate the traffic flows of heavy vehicles such as services/goods delivery trucks from passenger and light vehicles. Thus, traffic circulation within the development will be smoother, safer and faster.
Integrated Rail Hub
KL Eco City’s new integrated rail hub will be instrumental in helping to reduce carbon footprints by encouraging the use of public transport. The hub which comprises the existing Abdullah Hukum LRT Station and the new KTM Komuter station set to be completed by 2016 will also be linked to The Gardens/ Mid Valley via a pedestrian bridge. Being connected to two modes of rail networks will help companies operating in KL Eco City connect to a wider audience and workforce in the Klang Valley.
Sustainability
Corporations operating in KL Eco City will attract a new generation of talents by embodying work-life balance in an eco-friendly environment. Apart from the inherent benefits of living and working in a self-contained city-within-a-city, KL Eco City is developed to meet the stringent criteria of Malaysia’s Green Building Index (GBI) certification.
In 2014, Vogue Suites One was accorded the BCA Green Mark Gold provisional certification and in 2013 GBI Certified provisional certification for incorporating sustainable features within the residential tower. Among notable energy-efficient examples are lifts equipped with regenerative drive, CO2 sensors installed in the mechanically ventilated car parks, as well as rainwater harvesting. Environmental protection measures are also in place with the usage of green label materials in the construction of the building.
Integration
The various components of the KL Eco City are seamlessly connected through a series of gateway cones and covered pedestrian linkages elevated above street levels. Separating pedestrian traffics from the streets below, these landscaped podiums and communal green spaces provide meeting points for leisure and business in a safe and comfortable environment. KL Eco City opens up unprecedented opportunities for business and families to discover new experience, growth and enjoyment.
