Your 4-step guide to a Jungalow home

The Jungalow style is taking the interior design world by storm. More homes are incorporating the vibrant, fun and colourful theme into their space.

Curated by famed designer Justina Blakeney, the signature look is a great way to add youth and character to your space. It only takes 4 simple steps to get your home looking Jungalow chic.

1. Colour

Forget colour schemes and charts, the Jungalow style takes on a variety of colours. Bring out your adventurous side and make your rooms as eye-catching as possible with bright and vibrant hues..

2. Patterns

Be bold and bring in as many tropical, Aztec, and graphic prints as you can. The busier and vibrant the pattern, the better.  Add rugs, throws, wallpapers, and even patterned utensils.

3. Global accents

The Jungalow theme was highly inspired by the nomadic bohemian. We are moving towards decorating our homes with trinkets and pieces from our travels, mixing cultures and traditions to create unique global spaces.

4. Plants

Plants are a prominent part of the Jungalow look. The lush greenery instantly adds life to your space, especially in small rooms. If you have an awkward empty corner in your home, Blakeney suggest you “just put a humongous plant right there”!
