Choo Mei Sze starts her morning with a healthy breakfast – as they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

“One of the parts that I like about the house is the dry kitchen/bar area. The original intention of this high countertop is to have breakfast here overlooking the view of Mont Kiara,’ shares Choo.

The stunning view is one of the main reasons she chose to live in Mont Kiara and the home she currently resides. Its strategic location – merely 16 minutes to KLCC where she mostly works and 20 minutes to Petaling Jaya where her parents live – surely is the winning quality.

“Mont Kiara is also a very connected neighbourhood. You can simply walk to the malls to eat as there is a lot of good food around here. I love Korean and Japanese cuisine, and this is the hub for these two cuisines.”

As Choo loves hosting get-togethers, having a home with ample moving space is important to her. It makes perfect sense to purchase a property in Mont Kiara as they are generally bigger in build to cater to its large expatriate population.

“I love the space and how it’s laid out. When we were speaking to our interior designer, immediately knew I wanted the house to be ‘minimalist and contemporary’ themed,” said Choo.

“The most important element that we needed to inject was the colours of blue because I love the colour blue. I feel that blue exudes calmness when you look at it.”

The final result is indeed stunning. Choo’s 2707 sqft Mont Kiara home is the perfect example of a space that is cleverly humble in design yet stunning in execution.

Check out how Choo Mei Sze achieved this look in the video above. You’d be amazed to see how she incorporated the colour blue into her home design to achieve the perfect minimalist and contemporary look.
