For most of us, the decision to move to a new home often correlates with a big change in our lives. For mother of two, Careen Tan, that decision to move to Ara Damansara was made after her second child Lucas was born.
“The units here are generally much bigger. We love that we didn’t have to renovate much because everything is new and in ready move-in condition – that’s how we ended up living here,” says Tan.
Despite having two children, Tan boldly chose the colour white and light wood elements to realise the minimalist vision she had for her 1,500 sq ft condominium.
“I would say the theme is minimalist, Scandinavian. We were very intentional about everything that we have at home. We also kept the number of furniture to a minimum so that we can have more space.”
Having an affinity for space, naturally, Tan loves the wide inner roads in Ara Damansara, which help keep traffic congestion within the neighbourhood under control. Its proximity to Subang Jaya and Petaling Jaya definitely earns Ara Damansara a brownie point in Tan’s opinion.

“There’s a lot of hopefulness in a new house,” shares Tan. “I believe that a house is a home because of who lives in it and that’s what I love the most about waking up in my home in Ara Damansara – my husband and my two kids.”
