Check out our tips on how to create a more comfortable stay for your friends and family.
Pillows & bedding
If your guest room is small, there would not be enough space for a desk and a reading chair. Solve this problem with a body pillow, which can be used as a makeshift couch during the day. In addition, make sure to have fresh sheets for the bed as well as any additional bedding at hand, such as an air mattress, baby crib or sleeping mat.
A selection of treats and goodies will definitely make a guest feel right at home. Fill up a basket with mini surprises such as travel-sized soaps, scented lotions, and small snacks to munch on. Basic medication such as Panadol and Tiger Balm would be welcome too!
Extra Hangers & storage space
Do not forget to make room for your guests. Clear out at least half of the closet to make way for their clothes and whatnots, besides leaving out extra hangers for easy storage.
Do you wake up thirsty in the middle of the night? You should expect the same for your guests and leave out a pitcher of water and some glasses in their room. Don’t let them wander around the kitchen hopelessly late at night!
Declutter & decorate
The easiest way to de-clutter your guest room is to clear the surfaces. Make sure that the tops of the nightstands and desk are empty of unnecessary items, so your guests have some room to unpack and relax. Adding a vase flowers and some scented candles would be a nice touch in helping your guests settle in.
