Kukup is a fishing village in Pontian County, Johor, Malaysia.  

It is famous for its open-air seafood restaurant, and the floating restaurant is built on stilts.  Regular ferries connect Kukup with Tanjong Palai in Indonesia.  Kukup became more prosperous when the famous Singaporean Arab Sai Mohamed was approved by the Sultan of Johor to develop the southwest coast of Johor.  There are also resorts and seafood restaurants and 70 aquaculture farms in the area.
