PPR houses to be completed and handed over earlier than predicted
Jul 16, 2012
GUA MUSANG: Construction of Public Housing Project (PPR) costing RM180 million promised at Galas state by-election in Nov 2010 is expected to be completed earlier than scheduled.

"About 52 percent work on the 1,000 units of affordable housing have been completed," said Kelantan Federal Development Department director Datuk Makhtar Mustapha at the presentation of 'Anugerah Daya Wawasan' at Dataran Paloh 3, here Saturday.

The federal government via the Rural and Regional Development Ministry also spent RM15 million to upgrade water facilities to settlers of Kesedar land development scheme.

Makhtar said the facilities installed were part of the government agenda to solve the people's problem and provide a balance between people in urban and rural areas.

"This proves that the federal government never neglected the needs of people in Hulu Kelantan who will have a modern town in future," he added.
