KUALA LUMPUR: iProperty.com aims to participate in the growth of local markets and offer an improved service in the northern region with the opening of its new branch in Penang today.

In a statement today, the property portal, which operates under the iProperty Group, said the opening of the new branch was in line with the company's expansion initiative to increase its presence in key growth markets.

Group chief executive officer, Shaun di Gregorio, said the new office would focus principally on providing real estate agents and developers in the northern region a platform to further engage with the team at iProperty.com Malaysia.

"With the opening of the new office, it takes us closer to our customers and partners in Penang's rapidly evolving city," he said.

He said with Penang experiencing rapid economic growth, it has become an attractive destination for local and foreign visitors who wanted to own a property.

"We firmly believe that with a local presence, we will be able to understand the needs of not just our agents and developers but also our consumers," he said.
