American citizen married to Malaysian citizen with PR in the USA. Do we need to purchase house with RM500,000 in value?
Category : Buying Property in Malaysia Location : Selangor I am an American citizen married to a Malaysian woman that is a citizen of Malaysia and has permanent residency in the US. We both are working in the US and want to purchase property in Subang Jaya. Do we need to purchase a property with a value of RM500,000? We just want to use as investment/rental. We will eventually move there, but we do not need to use My second home for visa. I also see different figures as to what we need to put down, as a foreigner, I believe it is 40%, but is this including stamp duty, all other fees related to purchase? Which property is better?
Category : Buying Property in Malaysia Location : Kuala Lumpur My husband and I are both working overseas, we plan to buy a property as soon as possible for investment as we have been looking around for quite sometime already. We would like to get some advice from the property expert out there. We are interested in Somerset condo and 1 Recidency both in Bukit Ceylon. But Somerset is a bit pricey, our budget is RM500k to RM600k(only freehold). Both properties also have good rental yield and capital appreciation, but we do not know which is better for investment. PLease advice. Another option is Sering Akasia Duplex in Cheras or D'Majestica Taman Damai Perdana Cheras(landed property coming up next year) which is cheaper than the condo at Bukit Ceylon. But we do not know how was the traffic flow over there. Is it wise for investment or own use? Your advice are very much appreciated. Thank you. Author : LING PEI SOH , 22/3/2010 10:07:55 PM 1 reply |

Buying high-end condominium or shop?
Category : Buying Property in Malaysia Location : Kuala Lumpur Im a first time property buyer, working overseas and have been looking for property but cant make up my mind which one to invest?I have a choice of either: 1 Residency studio unit, I've heard that it gives a good rental yield and capital appreciation due to location at Bukit Ceylon. If i buy this condominium its is only for investment for a few years than i will sell it off and invest in another landed property for own use. Please give me more review on this property, if anyone have any to share with. or investing in shop-lot in Klang because the price is still acceptable compare to shop-lot in KL. Both the price of 1 Recidency and shop in Klang are more or less the same price. My budget is between RM500k to RM700k. If i buy shop-lot in Klang, maybe in the future when im back to Malaysia, I can use it to run my own business, if not i will sell it, not sure yet at the moment. Your advice are appreciated. What are pros and cons of buying (and later selling) a service apartment/condo?
Category : Suggestions Location : Kuala Lumpur I'm buying a new unit at Ampang Putra Residency, which I understand is a service apartment (Title : Commercial). And I understand the assessment fee, land tax, etc. are much higher than residential. I'm curious to know the following; - how much extra are those charges? - issues I need to look out for when I intend to sell it in the future - governing laws for service apartment Thank you all for your time and replies Author : Wye Kit Tan , 2/11/2009 4:31:20 PM 1 reply |
