when can get the balance purchase price as a seller?

I am the seller of the low cost apartment. This is an extract S & P for Payment of the Balance Purchase Price. “Subject to other provisions of this agreement hereinafter provided, the balance of the Purchase Price in the sum stated in Section 7 of the Schedule hereto (“the Balance Purchase Price”) shall be paid by the Purchaser to the Vendor or the Purchaser’s Solicitors as stakeholders within the time stated in Section 8 of the Schedule hereto (“the Initial Period”). The last day or payment herein shall be called “the Completion Date”. This is an extract The Schedule. 8. The Initial Period Three (3) months from the date of receipt by Purchaser’s solicitors the duly executed and adjudicated Memorandum of Transfer (1st transfer or direct transfer) from the Developer or their Solicitors (whichever is later) Questions 1) Can the lawyer ask the buyer to pay the balance purchase price after the government consent was approved at this moment, which is not stated in the S & P? And I don’t even get the balance purchase price though it has been paid, the lawyer said I will get the balance once MOT is done. Due to this, I have to hand over the vacant possession to the buyer. (The tenant is still renting the house, I could not collect the rental.) In this case, I felt like I am a loser party. 2) Then, when are The Initial Period and The Completion Date started? 3) What is the duly executed and adjudicated MOT? How is the process? Is this a time consuming process?

Moving in period

When viewing a property and agreeing to rent it. How long is the period from you signing a lease until you can move in? (if the unit is already vacant? We are moving to Malaysia and will be staying in a hotel until we find a suitable place to rent, and just wondering if it take a week, a month or we can move in straight away.
