Surrounded by towering trees with a view of the undulating hills and greenery of the Bukit Pelindung Forest Reserve and located a short distance from Kuantan’s famous tourist beach, Teluk Cempedak, Pelindung Hills is a sanctuary for nature lovers. This boutique development in Pahang offers nature’s most inspiring atmosphere within a premium, high-end enclave that is making its mark as a noteworthy development in the area.
Private, Spacious & Green
At just 107,416 sq feet, the development caters to a select few discerning owners craving beauty and serenity inspired by the outdoors. The developer has labeled it as ‘private and spacious quarters in a modern, contemporary home for buyers who are inspired by Mother Nature’. And indeed it does live up to the tagline with its limited units, abundance of greenery, and nature-inspired designs and surroundings.
There are only 24 units available in Pelindung Hills – 22 semi-detached bungalows and two detached bungalows – further emphasising its exclusivity. For added convenience, the development is a mere five-minute drive from Kuantan, so owners have the best of both worlds – the modern trappings of town living while being close to the casuarinas and pine trees-lined coast and the famed white sandy beaches of the East Coast. The 126-acre Royal Pahang Golf Club is also nearby – a big plus point for avid golfers as the course is said to be a formidable challenge. Neighbouring the development are other high-end residential areas.
The contemporary cluster bungalows artfully combine aesthetics with functionality to create modern homes with timeless appeal. At first glance, they appear to exude hints of European luxury villas with their distinct architecture and 2.5-storey structures, use of natural materials, an earth-inspired colour scheme, sloping roofs, terraces and balconies, and multiple windows. The resort-like designs blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, complementing Mother Nature’s masterpiece with its own beauty. In marrying the contemporary and the classic, the developer has created enduring designs that will outlive trendy architecture.
Intelligent and inventive interior designs provide well-thought out and generous spaces for every need yet without sacrificing pockets of private oasis that make the house truly a home. The developer has shown a clear understanding of the needs of the modern family and has taken care to create areas that cater for different users and uses. Large or multi-generational families will appreciate the size not to mention the astute layouts that welcome harmony and unity. For example, there are living rooms and family lounges on every floor in most of the designs, allowing families to gather as a group or steal private moments in quiet sanctuaries. In fact, several family activities can run concurrently without one interrupting the other – from dinner parties to video nights.
Space is in abundance in these houses. With built-up areas ranging from 3,283 sq ft to 3,859 sq ft and spread over three floors, they can afford coveted features (in selected designs), such as three-bay covered car porch, up to seven bedrooms, ample bathrooms, guest rooms and maid rooms, among others. Of note is the highest floor which has been designed as an almost separate, independent space that can be utilised by a small family or family members who want their own privacy away from the larger group. The master bedroom is also sizeable, especially in comparison with the small spaces commonly found in most urban developments. They are aptly named Master Suites and include room for a walk-in wardrobe and even enough space for a small TV lounge, if one desires it. All five layouts also provide wet and dry kitchens – a much desired component of most homes today – in a nod towards aesthetics and convenience.
The lot sizes range from 3,444 sq ft to 6,825 sq ft, which means there is plenty of space for gardens. But there will be no shortage of greens even if owners do not have a penchant for gardening. Taking advantage of the lush greenery that envelopes the development, the houses are designed with well-placed terraces, courtyards and balconies that welcome the beauty of the outdoors inside and allow an abundance of natural light to stream in. These little green pockets and open spaces give distinctive spatial texture to the interiors, creating interesting nooks and breaking up areas in an interesting manner. At the same time, they also give the impression of breadth by creating more distance and breathing space between the units.
While the interiors seem to intuitively cater to larger families calling these houses their homes, the architectural, design and locational advantages of Pelindung Hills also make it a great holiday retreat / weekend home and / or investment property, especially for foreign buyers.
There are four design options for the 2.5-storey semi-detached bungalows: San Marino, Florence, Majorca, and Venice. The San Marino design boasts a three-bay covered car park porch, five bed rooms with attached bathrooms or private bathrooms while Florence has six bedrooms and an internal courtyard. Highlights of the Majorca design include an enclosed garden terrace and seven bed rooms. The Venice design has seven bed rooms and two terraces that run along the sides of the house, giving the sense of a detached house. The Granada is the sole design option for the 2.5-storey bungalows. It includes four bedrooms all with attached bathrooms and a guest room on the ground floor as well as an enclosed terrace.
