An Introduction to Sri Petaling

Introduction

Sri Petaling, a suburb that is located at the south of Kuala Lumpur, is just next to Bukit Jalil, the national sports township where the Commonwealth Games was held in 1998. Sri Petaling has come a long way from its humble beginnings of being a rubber plantation until it was first developed in 1981 to become an almost modern township today. Sri Petaling swiftly developed into one of the most populated areas in Kuala Lumpur in the last 10 years or so, with property prices increasing speedily as well.

Location

From Sri Petaling, it takes less than half an hour to arrive at Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Sepang International Circuit (the venue for Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix), about 20 minutes to reach Petaling Jaya, Damansara or Shah Alam, 10 minutes to Subang and Puchong and 30 minutes to Klang.
